1. Delicious food
You can't deny the fact that, anyone can eat all day in Hoi An without getting bored. You can even mark “eating” as “a very important thing-to-do in Hoi An” in red and underlined in your Hoi An guide book. Or don’t hesitate to declare that “eating” is the main reason for you to go to Hoi An. According to an individual poll by Travel More Asia Team done in early 2015, 90% of visitors who have travelled to Hoi An that we met, have a special love for the mouth-watering food in this place; 30% of them are spicy food eater (we all know how Hoi An food can be an unavoidable temptation for them).

Want a bite of Banh Mi Phuong?
In Hoi An, you will not need to feel embarrassed when waking up in the morning with a mouthful “Banh mi Phuong” filled with lots of mounds eggs and meat, then walk around the streets and have an “extended breakfast” with a big fat bowl of “Cao Lau” (you can read more about these two dishes and other specialties of Hoi An here). You can have both breakfast meal if you want - but certainly you should, or will deeply regret for your unfortunately small stomach.

The legend "Com ga"
Rest for a while, it’s time to go to the famous “Com ga” (chicken rice) restaurant (it might remind you of “Com ga Ba Buoi”, but that restaurant no longer holds No. 1 in Hoi An for many people), and then quickly look for “Banh mi Queen - Madame Khanh” with a chubby loaf of bread, and enjoy it with her sunny smile as an added flavor. And don’t miss out the lotus seed sweet soup (Che hat sen) with fragrant blooms like a flower in your mouth. Also you shouldn’t forget to set aside an afternoon sun bathing in Cua Dai beach with fresh seafood, which will make you laugh when being served right in front of you, and in front of the beach. In short, Hoi An cuisine will be a dazzling show of your trip and you should seriously take the time to find out where the delicious food is, and wholeheartedly enjoy a happy food tour.

2. An Bang Beach
Go to Hoi An, people often have in mind “Cua Dai beach”. But over the past few years, Cua Dai has been marked the “commercial” label. All tourists have flocked to it as if it was the only place in Hoi An beach, every inch on the beach is occupied.

Sunbathing on the white smoothing sand
Instead of that, An Bang stands out as a quiet heaven. Not too far away from the center of the old town, just about 15 minutes by taxi, you’ll see a quiet, secluded and beautiful An Bang. The bluish turquoise crystal clear water, huge waves and white sand will gently welcome you. But what makes An Bang even more appealing to young people is the cafe & bar on the beach here. Not just seafood stall that sell coconut juice like what you see in Cua Dai, please be noted!

The bar mentioned above is distinguished with many colorful bean bag placed on the sand, or a lovely hut with bright colorful pillows and nestled also on the sand; all imbued with easygoing, casual style accordance with the type often seen in travel magazine. But the most interesting thing does not come from the appearance; it lies in the moments you experience in this place. Lounge by the beach sunbathing, hear the whispering waves (and no children screaming, or any noisy sound), turn on some music and chill out, you'll feel like you are floating in the happiest place in the world.

3. Super lovely tearoom
One reason why people love Hoi An is that there are many lovely Western restaurants, but still exudes the coziness of Vietnamese decor style. Among them, the most famous one, might be Reaching Out, no.1 tea room in Hoi An on Trip Advisor.

A green corner of Reaching Out
There is always a sense for its always-proudly-standing-on-top. In Reaching Out, you will really enjoy tea, drink tea rather than quickly finish that cup of tea so that you can immediately plunge into cookies. Tea in Reaching Out is the Vietnamese tea, the tea style is also pure Vietnamese and even the type of jam is also a coconut jam, cranberry jam that you usually eat in Tet – the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Cake in Reaching Out is also a bright and even orange juice, lemon juice are also delicious undeniably. But only tea, cake and tasty drink are not enough to bring Reaching out to become the number one place for the tourists. It’s their unique design featured the ancient Vietnamese style, with inlaid, stained dishes will make you be able to feel the breath of ancient times.

In the peaceful atmosphere of Hoi An, the soul of this decor has been shining even brighter; it makes you really find tranquility in your soul, let your soul, your taste, your smell sink into the tea and scented wind rushed in from the garden. And the most special and beautiful thing, is the staff at Reaching Out; they are all deaf people. You will communicate with them by writing on petite pieces of paper, an art of exquisite communication, full of Reaching Out style.

4. The Old Town
The poetic scenery of the ancient town
Literally saying, the most lovable thing in Hoi An is the Old Town then. Whatever they say, even after dozen times wandering or walking around this small old town, you still cannot help stop falling in love with every lovely corners nestling in the sun of this town.

Hoi An ancient town seems to be different from the busy Hanoi Old Quarter. Hoi An town is always like a nap, quietly and gently radiate a sense of peace when we arrive. Every corner is full of beauty and lovely things: sidewalk with lovely green trees, balconies are full of colorful blossoms or later comes all the petite lanterns sparkling under the sun.

All sweeping in like a well-blended landscape painting and then, in an unconscious way, you pull the camera out and shoot this corner, that corner...

5. The peace
If you love the joy, the excitement or the dynamic atmosphere, you might fall for such big cities as Nha Trang or Saigon. That will make you always want to play, to explore, or even to fall off into the endless carnival on the beaches, and you will find yourself playing without being tired. But if you belong to inner peace, so this is absolutely your place: in Hoi An, what makes people love most is the stillness and tranquility it brings to everyone.

Small & quiet lane

Initially, you would think it was boring. But let's slow down, let’s go with the melodic flow of Hoi An, like people learning Zen and then find peace in mind. You will find yourself absorbed into Hoi An; the peaceful existence around shall gently, gradually help you get away of your tiredness, your anxiety of life, and bring you to the peace. Then the tranquility of Hoi An, the thing that seem to be the most boring, turned out to be the most precious thing, will always make Hoi An an oasis of love for everyone who has ever step their feet inside.
